PastorFirst of all, a few words about the name of our Church – the First Romanian Baptist Church in Australia. The name reminds us about the history of Evangelism which has travelled to the far ends of the earth. Forty years ago, when the Church was first founded, there was no Romanian Evangelical presence of any kind in all of Australia. This was the first Evangelical Church in Australia. This is where the first immigrants met and these were: Baptists, Pentecostals and Evangelical Christians. Later on, when they increased in number, they formed the Pentecostal Churches and from here also stemmed the Baptist Churches in Perth, Brisbane and Adelaide as did the other Baptist Churches in Melbourne.

Keeping this in mind, the First Romanian Baptist Church in Australia promotes a brotherly attitude towards the other Churches in Australia. For this reason its Pastor is always able to visit and encourage the other Churches.

At the same time we know we have the responsibility, like an older sister (not larger in number but older) to be a positive Christian example of which to live by. For this reason I have adopted a greeting of the Church and brother advice, the words of the Apostle Paul from 2 Corinthians 3: 18: But we all, with open face beholding as in a glass the glory of the Lord, are changed into the same image from glory to glory, even as by the Spirit of the Lord.

We believe and witness that God, through the Lord Jesus Christ, having made known to us the mystery of His will, according to His good pleasure which He purposed in Himself before creation, for the purpose of man transformation according to His image by Faith, by being born again and through the fullness of the Holy Spirit.

Keeping in mind the above, we would like to be more involved in Missionary work and Evangelism so the Gospel may reach as many people with Salvation and then share the teaching of the Lord Jesus Christ from Matthew 28:20:
… and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age. We join Apostle Paul in sharing the same desire as mentioned in Colossians 1: 27-29:
To them God would make known what are the riches of the glory of this mystery among the Gentiles, which is Christ in you, the hope of glory. Him we preach, warning every man and teaching every man in all wisdom, that we may present every man perfect in Christ Jesus, for which I also labour, striving according to his working, which worketh in me mightily.
